Cheryl Reed is currently a metropolitan staff reporter for the Chicago Sun-Times.
Biographical and Professional Information
Cheryl L. Reed's articles have appeared in Time, U.S. News and World Report, Philadelphia Inquirer Magazine, Salon.com, and the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, among others. She is the recipient of the Harvard University Goldsmith Prize for Investigative Reporting and the Edgar Allen Poe Award from the White House Correspondent Association. Ms. Reed is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism where she received her dual bachelor’s degrees in news writing and photojournalism. She earned her master’s degree in journalism from the Ohio State University and is currently working on a master’s of fine arts degree from Northwestern University in Chicago. Ms. Reed has taught writing workshops and has been a visiting professor.
