In 1979 Professor Redfield joined the faculty at Sangamon State University, which was merged with the University of Illinois in 1995.

Biographical and Professional Information

Kent D. Redfield is an emeritus professor of Political Science at the University of Illinois at Springfield. Since 1979, he has been a research fellow with the Institute for Legislative Studies. Dr. Redfield has also been director of the Sunshine Project - a campaign finance research project, since 1997. His research has been presented in many reports, a series of articles in Illinois Issues, and two books - Cash Clout and Money Counts. He was also contributor to the Almanac of Illinois Politics.
