Born: 1965 in Champaign, Illinois
I was born and raised in Champaign, Illinois I attended the University of Illinois College of Law in Urbana-Champaign. I worked and resided in the City of Chicago. I was employed as a lawyer for the Cook County Public Guardian’s Office. From there I moved to Danville, Illinois and was employed at the Vermilion County Public Defender’s Office. I lived in the Village of Ogden for a period of time and then returned to Champaign, Illinois where I currently live and work. My novel Cocaine Zombies takes place in the State of Illinois.
Biographical and Professional Information
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with a degree in psychology in 1989. I graduated from the University of Illinois - Urbana/Champaign with a Juris Doctor degree in 1992. I am currently the owner of the Law Office of Scott Lerner where my primary focus is in the fields of Criminal and Family Law. In addition to my experience in private practice I have worked for the Cook County Public Guardian's Office and the Vermilion County Public Defender's Office.
