"Kosha is a storyteller who helps children with their problems when they come to see him. Orville is a baby tree whose parents are cut down for lumber and he is left alone until someone takes him to a family farm where he tries to make new friends and become accepted. Kosha helps a child (Jody) who is going through the emotional trauma of moving away from friends, school, community. Through comparison with Orville's life, the child is made to see that it's not that bad to adjust and make new friends. Jody still has his family. Orville was left alone and was able to be happy again."
