Norris grew up in Princeton, Illinois and lived there most of her life. She attended University of Chicago, the University of Illinois and the Chicago Academy of Fine Art.

Biographical and Professional Information

Norris is an illustrator of children's books. She studied art at the Art Students League in New our and at the Chicago Academy of Fine Art. At 94 years of age, she still paints occasionally in her studio - the same studio where she painted the illustrations for ''My Go To Bed Book''. She taught art at Princeton High School for many years.Norris collaborated on more than 15 books with Hidegarde Ford.
