Biographical and Professional InformationSince July 1, 2011 Beverly Obert has been the Resource Sharing Manager of the Illinois Heartland Library System. She has a B.A. in music education from Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois and a MSLIS from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She has been a teacher of music and a public library director. She is an active member of the Illinois Library Association and the Illinois School Library Media Association. Her knowledge of children's choice awards is first hand as a member of the ''Rebecca Caudill Young Readers' Book Award'' Steering Committee since 1994, where she coordinates and edits an activity pack for the list of 20 nominated titles.
