Biographical and Professional InformationNathan Thompson is a critically acclaimed freelance writer whose works on Policy, and Bronzeville, have been published in ''Source Magazine'', ''Chicago Defender'', ''Lakefront Outlook'' and ''South Street Journal'' newspapers. As a preservation activist, he was a driving force in saving such Bronzeville landmarks as the Palm Tavern, Metropolitan Community Church, and the Michigan Boulevard Garden Apartments from the wrecking ball.Founder of the Bronzville Press & Screenworks, Thompson has been featured in numerous media outlets including: WTTW-TV's Chicago Tonight, Tavis Smiley's National Public Radio Show, The Cliff Kelley Show on WVON and WVAZ radio, the Hot Springs Sentinel, Michigan Chronicle, Pittsburgh Courier, Tri-State Defender, Rolling Out, N'DIGO, Chicago Sun-Times, and Dawn Turner Trice's Chicago Tribune column. Thompson is a member of the Society of Midland Authors, Bronzeville Historic Preservation Society, the Bronzeville Merchants Association, and an Advisory Board Member of the Black Metropolis Convention and Tourism Council.
