Illinois Connection

While I was born in Missouri, I consider the Chicago area home. My sons were educated in Downers Grove, and I now live in Lisle. I love the western suburbs. I worked at Nicor Gas in public and investor relations before joining Bell Labs (now Lucent Technologies. ) My PR career at AT&T spanned 11 years and included helping spearhead PR internationally when AT&T had it short foray into the commercial computer marketplace. My presentations and imaging skills were honed by helping AT&T excutives polish their communication skills. I started my own speaking, training, and coaching business 20 years ago.

Biographical and Professional Information

I help people build a new kind of wealth - social captial - by improving their communication and networking skills. The Chicago Tribune calls me a "networking expert," and the Association Forum of Chicagoland dubs me the "business networking" authority. I was one of the first in the world to become an Inscape Publishing certified DiSC trainer. I graduated in the top ten percent from the University of Missouri School of Journalism. I'm a director of communication for the National Speakers Association-Illinois Chapter, an instructor in North Central College's Community Education Department and was named an Influential Woman in Business and a Great Women of the 21st Century.
