I was born and raised in Pennsylvania. Since 1985, I've lived in Chicago. The first dozen years here were spent directing theater. I spent several years as the literary manager and dramaturge at the Organic Theater and ran the theater's script development program, The Greenhouse. I began writing full-time in the mid 90s and published my first novel, JUST NORTH OF NOWHERE, in 2007. DRINK FOR THE THIRST TO COME, a collection of my short fiction will be, released by Annihilation Press in October, 2010.
