Biographical and Professional InformationNicole Hollander is the woman behind the ''Sylvia'' comic strip and is one of the few female cartoonists whose work has been featured in comic pages throughout the United States. ''Sylvia'' was first published in 1976 and is now an internationally syndicated comic strip distributed by Tribune Media Services and appearing in more than 80 newspapers. She has published numerous Sylvia collections and has also illustrated many books.
