Since July 2010 Linda has been a Disaster Assistant Employee (Reservist) for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). She is an Operations Support Specialist with FEMA. Linda has worked with children in several different capacities. She worked as a group worker at Abraham Lincoln Center where she ran an afterschool program for children and evening program for teens and young adults and she mentored teens as a Youth Outreach Specialist with the Chicago Public Schools Youth Outreach Program. In September 2009 Linda founded Unlimited Success, a (501c3) Not-For-Profit, under which she mentored children in Chicago Public Schools. Her passion and love for children prompted her to realize that there was a need for a program that would reach families and reframe or enhance their outlook on life. She wanted to develop a program that would be dedicated to assisting families in gaining strength and prosperity by joining together and using knowledge as their power. In August 2018 Linda wrote and published Volume 1 of her first children's book entitled "A Positive Note". She published the book while branding four characters in the book with the main character being a warm big red fuzzy character named "A Positive Note". She continues to write the next volumes of her "A Positive Note" book series and design t-shirts. "A Positive Note" is an entity under Linda's entertainment company, Distinct Entertainment Group, LLC. Volume I of, "A Positive Note", includes a Teacher's Guide and the words of a happy, positive song, also entitled "A Positive Note," are printed on the back of the book. Teachers can download the song and have a fun filled sing along.
