Every person that has ever truly met Jesus Christ has been changed…Mary and Joseph were demanded by Caesar Augustus to register for the census in Jerusalem. On their way through Bethlehem, as Mary was preparing to give birth, they stopped at the Bethlehem Inn. This fictional story imagines how the life of a stable boy may have changed after his encounter with Mary and Joseph. The stable boy chronicles, from his own perspective, the story of the birth of Jesus Christ and the aftermath, beginning from the age of fifteen, when he first meets Mary and Joseph, until he reaches the age of forty-eight.

That night God sends a quirky angel named Andy to start taking Matthew back in time during his dreams to see how exciting Bible stories can be. Andy is not your typical angel. He is short, stocky, and has red, curly hair. And instead of a long white robe he wears a #23 basketball jersey, gym shorts, and tennis shoes. Each story is told through the eyes of a typical ten-year-old boy.

Each adventure is filled with humor and excitement as they are joined by Pete the Parrot, and Dorcus the Talking Donkey.
