Pen Name: None Connection to Illinois: Bialko currently resides in Chicago. Biography: Bialko is a professional illustrator and author. He studied Art at West Virginia University and continues to further his education at The Art Institute of Chicago. Drew grew up in a small town in western Pennsylvania obsessed with sports, comic books, cartoons, and video games. He always knew from a young age he wanted to be an artist and work with children, but it wasn’t until later, when Drew started reading books to his own child, did he re-connect with his passion for children’s literature. So, with a lot of inspiration from his son, and even more support from his wife, Drew’s first children’s book “Selfish” was brought to life.
