Biography: Bill Nunes is a retired social studies teacher and school administrator from Edwardsville High School and is the author of 15 books on the history and nostalgia of St. Louis, East St. Louis, and Illinois. He writes a regular column for the Edwardsville Intelligencer newspaper and has had several of his editorials published in the opinion section of the St. Louis Post Dispatch. In 2017, the city of Glen Carbon, named him to be a hometown hero.
