Connection to Illinois: Haque resides in Chicago. Biography: A writer and poet, Mary E. Haque prefers to capture the essence of the natural world, coupled with elements of love and peace. Having her poems featured in more than a few journals, she enjoys connecting readers to these topics. Additionally, she has been featured in a travel book, I Really Should Have Stayed Home and a previous publication titled Madalynn the Monarch and her Quest to Michoacán. She loves to experiment in long verse poetry, spend time with family, and enjoys reading poetry from famous poets of the past. She is a mom of two artsy adult children and resides with her partner in Chicago, Illinois along with her mini goldendoodle Georgina. You can find her work featured most recently in the Wild Roof Journal (July 2023) along with Cosmic Daffodils Journal (May 2023) and a forthcoming piece in Amethyst Review (January 2024) and two forthcoming pieces in The Closed Eye Open (Spring 2024) along with an additional feature in The Seraphic Review (February 2024).
