Ashley Mueth

Connection to Illinois: Mueth is based in the Urbana-Champaign area, Before joining the MLIS program at UIUC, she was a graduate assistant in special collections at Morris Library and taught introductory composition in the English Department at Souther Illinois University in Carbondale. She now works in the Literature and Languages Library, Ricker Library of Art and Architecture, and the International Area Studies Library on UIUC’s campus providing reference assistance and practicing collection, website, and social media development. Biography: Ashley Mueth is a passionate library assistant and instructor in both academic and public libraries. She's dedicated to serving the community through reference services, instructional workshops, and story time programs. As a writer and researcher, she enjoys constructing advanced search techniques using databases and other resources to help researchers find the most relevant information for learning about a topic. In her spare time, she's a poetry editor for CentraLit Magazine and volunteer in Children’s Services at Champaign Public Library. Mueth holds an AA, BA in Literatures, Languages, and International Studies, BA in English, and an MA in English.
