Pen Name: None Connection to Illinois: June lived in Illinois her entire life. Biography: June was raised during the great depression and her family was very poor. Unlike most women of her time she worked for 38 years at the Intra State Telephone Company as a Telephone Operator. The story tells about what life was like for her grandparents back in the mid to late 1800's around the Oquawka and Monmouth Illinois area.
