Connection to Illinois: Meyerhoff moved to Evanston after graduating from The University of Michigan. She attended Northwestern University's School of Education and Social Policy. In 1998, she moved to Deerfield, now lives in Riverwoods.

Biography: Jenny Meyerhoff writes novels for children and teenagers. She grew up in West Bloomfield, Michigan, and went on to graduate from The University of Michigan. After moving to Evanston, Illinois, with her husband, she worked for a few years as a preschool teacher and interned at ''Chicago Parent Magazine''. She then enrolled in Northwestern University's School of Education and Social Policy and did go on to teach kindergarten for a while after receiving her Master's degree. Meyerhoff now writes full-time.
