Born: Rockford, Illinois
Connection to Illinois: McCormick attended elementary school in Loves Park and graduated from Harlem High School in Machesney Park. She received an MBA from Northern Illinois University and currently lives in Roscoe. Biography: Melissa McCormick spent over thirty years navigating corporate America from entry-level to executive at Taylor Company in Rockton, IL, a foodservice equipment manufacturer. Currently, she is the founder and CEO of the Grace & Salt Leadership Academy and is the author of the leadership book, Grace & Salt. She is a faith-based career coach, speaker, trainer, and author. Melissa is a member of the Rockton-Roscoe Rotary Club, Rotary District 6420 Public Image Chair, and Rotary District 6420 District Governor-Designate for the 2025 – 2026 Rotary year. She is a director on several boards and is a member of the mission committee at Northeast Christian Church in Rockford, IL.
