The women complained the entire time. Ben told them he was going to gag them if they didn’t shut up. Finally getting to Geyser, they found the body of a young girl outside of town. They didn’t know that someone was killing women in Geyser. Ben’s father was the sheriff in Geyser. He had asked the marshals to help find the killer in their midst. The three young women didn’t know if they wanted to stay in a town with a killer running loose. In fact, a man started stalking one of them! His behavior was very suspicious. When the three women weren’t complaining, Ben found that he actually liked one of them. There was no way he was going to let anything happen to her or her sisters, not after all that he went through to keep them alive to Geyser. Now he just had to find the killer, before the killer found one of them.

He went to the judge to make sure that it would be all right for the black families to live in those buildings. The judge approved, and they got the deed for the one hundred and sixty acres with the house and buildings. They just had to make some changes to make it livable for all of them to live there. They were in shock to be given such a nice place to live and their own land. They set to work to make it perfect for all of them. She sold her horse and saddle, ran to the resale store for sheets, a blanket, and a quilt. She also bought some clean pants, shirts, a heavy coat, boots that fit, a knit cap, and some warm gloves. She slipped from Maggie to Mags in seconds. She washed using the bowl and pitcher they had in the room in hot water from the kitchen. And dressed in clean clothes. Stuffing her hair in the knit hat, she hurried to the kitchen to report to work. She was a hard worker; Alice was surprised that someone that small could get so much done. They never looked back. Maggie grew up in Caster Falls and loved it. She grew from a small ‘boy’ into a lovely young lady.
