His novel 'The Christmas Tree Lot', inspired by an actual Christmas tree lot in Richton Park, Illinois, has been made into a Hallmark Christmas movie - 'Christmas Under the Stars.' The made for tv movie will star Jesse Metcalfe, Jocelyn Gauthier, and Anthony Bolognese. Rikk was captivated by a Christmas Tree lot in Richton Park, Illinois, year after year before he finally decided to sit down and write a story about it. After reading the story, his agent got it to Hallmark where the staff there fell in love with it too.
