Tad was born in Evanston, Illinois, and France in Montréal, Canada. They met as teenagers when their families participated as cast in an outdoor play in upstate New York. Tad works in software. France is a homemaker. They have four children and one grandchild. This is their first book, Tad is the author and France is the illustrater.
