Biography: Doreen earned a BA in print journalism from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville (SIUE), and also served in the Armed Forces for three years. She is the mother of three children and in addition to her writing she loves to read. She is also a founding member of the North Austin Public Library Poetry Group which is located on the west side of Chicago.
