Biography: Jeff Fleischer is a Chicago-based author and journalist. He has also worked in San Francisco, Australia and New Zealand, and has written for many national and international publications including the Sydney Morning Herald, Mother Jones, National Geographic Traveler, Chicago Magazine, Mental_Floss, and the like. A veteran newsroom editor, he also edits books, articles and screenplays and is a screenwriter, documentary filmmaker, photographer and visual artist. Fleischer has a degree in journalism and history from Indiana University and a master's in journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
