Pen Name: None Connection to Illinois: Arnold was a life long Chicagoan. Biography: In 1926, the Chicago native began covering crime for the City Press Association, now City News. He remained at City News, now jointly owned by the Tribune and the Sun-Times, for 44 years. In 1956, he became the night city editor.
